Pharmacies in Ayia Napa are not on the duty rota — the 2024 amendment took resort areas out of it. The nearest ones on duty are in Sotira and Paralimni, 8–10 km away.
Pharmacies take turns on duty under a rota that the Pharmacy Council approves twice a year. On its day, a pharmacy on duty stays open over the lunch break and in the evening until 22:00 (23:00 from May to September), and from 08:00 on Sundays and public holidays. After that, until 08:00 the next morning, the pharmacist must be reachable for urgent prescriptions. This is set by decree ΚΔΠ 210/2022.
Not every pharmacy is on the rota. Resort areas whose population doubles in summer (Ayia Napa, Peyia) were taken out of it by amendment ΚΔΠ 335/2024, and village pharmacies outside the larger municipalities keep their own hours. If there is none on duty near you, tap “Find the nearest”.
