Cyprus Airways adds daily Larnaca–Stansted link from spring 2027
The airline will fly year-round between Larnaca and London Stansted starting April 23, 2027, adding a third UK gateway for Cypriot travellers.
Cyprus Airways has set April 23, 2027 as the start date for a daily direct service linking Larnaca with London Stansted, the carrier said on Wednesday, as reported by Cyprus Mail. The route will run throughout the year rather than only in summer.
Stansted puts passengers within reach of central London, the north-east of the capital and south-east England more broadly. According to the airline, the addition responds to demand from leisure travellers, business passengers and people travelling to see family.
Chief executive Thanos Pascalis framed the move as a way to deepen ties with a key market.
“The United Kingdom is a particularly important market for Cyprus, with strong demand across leisure, business and visiting friends and relatives,” he said.
What it means for residents
For anyone on the island with family, work or property ties to Britain, a second year-round London option out of Larnaca changes how trips are planned — and could soften fares on a busy corridor.
- More choice on London: Stansted sits well away from Heathrow, so compare onward transport costs into the city before booking.
- Booking channels: seats go on sale through the airline's website, its app and travel agents, so check all three before paying.
- Watch for further expansion: Munich and Rome Fiumicino are also slated as year-round additions, which may open more connections.
