Water outage hits Germasogeia streets after network fault
A broken water main has left several streets in Limassol's Germasogeia district without supply, with repairs expected to finish near midnight on Monday.
Several streets in the Germasogeia municipal district of Limassol lost running water on Monday after a fault struck the local network, according to the Limassol District Local Government Organisation (DLGO).
Repair teams are already working at the site, and the DLGO expects supplies to return at about 11.59pm the same day. The streets affected are Logothetou, Artemidos, Parmenidou, Nefelis, Daponte, Lesvou, Parnassou, Androu and Ilision.
What it means for residents
Households on these nine streets will spend most of Monday evening without mains water, so practical planning matters more than the repair timeline itself.
- Store water early. Fill a few containers for drinking, cooking and flushing before the evening peak.
- Check before you use appliances. Washing machines and dishwashers are best left off until pressure is back.
- Watch for discolouration. When supply resumes, run a cold tap briefly before using the water.
