Resurfacing on the B7 between Paphos and Polis will shut a different stretch of the road each day from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, working hours 6am to 3pm, as reported by Cyprus Mail. Drivers are sent through Mesogi or Tsada depending on the day, so the detour changes.

On Friday the closure runs from the Tremithousa lights to the Grivas Digenis Street junction, with Polis-bound traffic diverted right at Tremithousa towards Mesogi. Saturday's works move further along, from Grivas Digenis Street to Gerolakkou Street, and on Sunday the Olympos area up to the old Tsada-Mesogi road is affected.

Separately, the Limassol-bound carriageway of the Paphos-Limassol motorway closes near Agia Varvara and Anarita from 2 to 6 November, 8am to 4pm, with two-way traffic on the opposite carriageway for roughly three kilometres.

Editorial note

What it means for residents

Anyone who commutes between Paphos and Polis, or uses the motorway towards Limassol, should build extra time into journeys over the next week — the diversions are not the same on all three days, so the route you know may not work.

  • Check the day first. Friday, Saturday and Sunday each have a different closed section on the B7; the Polis-bound detour runs through Mesogi early in the weekend and through Tsada later.
  • Motorway delays from Monday. With one carriageway carrying traffic both ways near Agia Varvara, expect slower runs towards Limassol between 8am and 4pm until 6 November.
  • Plan around the hours. The B7 works finish at 3pm, so early or late trips avoid the closures entirely.
