The Central Bank of Cyprus has announced three fixed-term placements for recent graduates and postgraduate students, as reported by Cyprus Mail. Two of the posts sit in the IT Infrastructure Administration Section, while the third is a graduate trainee role in the Human Resources Directorate.

IT assistants will set up and deploy computers for staff, handle help desk requests and prepare retired equipment for donation to charities. The HR trainee will support daily operations, validate employee data and take part in workforce projects.

Both tracks pay €979 gross per month at the start, rising to €1,088 after six months, plus a pro rata 13th salary. The IT roles begin immediately, the HR role in December 2026; each runs six months with a possible extension.

Editorial note

What it means for residents

For young people on the island who have just finished studying, this is a rare chance to get a first line on a CV inside a central bank, though the pay is modest for Cyprus and the contracts are short by design.

  • Check the clock: only those who completed their degree in the 12 months before the announcement, or who are still postgraduate students, can apply, with at least 65 per cent or a 2:1 result.
  • Mind the dates: HR applications close on November 13, 2026, and IT ones on November 20, 2026, both by email to [email protected] with a CV attached.
  • Plan for renewal: budget on six months of income, since the extra half-year depends on the bank's needs and is not guaranteed.
