Nine Christmas villages will operate across Cyprus this festive season, from November 21 to January 6, 2027, according to an announcement by the deputy ministry of tourism reported by Cyprus Mail.
The villages are Agros, Deryneia, Kakopetria, Kalopanayiotis, Kyperounta, Lefkara, Lofou, Statos-Ayios Fotios and Fikardou.
According to the deputy ministry, the locations were selected after reviewing applications from community and municipal councils taking part in the Heartland of Legends route grant scheme. The initiative has now been running for five years and is intended to highlight the local character of the participating communities.
Visitors can expect festive decorations, wooden stalls selling local products and crafts, and workshops devoted to crafts, wine and gastronomy. Nature activities are also part of the programme, including walking and cycling, guided village tours and other events.
